Story Updates and Sneak Peeks
A note of gratitude, updates, and a sneak peek from the upcoming February Tale!
Hello, my fellow Adonites!
First I just want to say thank you so much for all of your support and responses to January’s short story ‘Oasis’. Your feedback has blessed me and encouraged me to keep writing more and more.
Jerike and Kenai’s story is far from over. In fact, I have another story with them (and their daughter 🤗) in the works. Lord willing, that one will be released as an extra tale in the future, but for now, here’s what their little girl will look like at the time their next tale takes place:
January’s story ‘Oasis’ can be read here.
Now, with the month of February well on it’s way, I thought it was time to announce the next official short story in the Monthly ‘Tales of Adon’
The writing prompt for February:
‘Reunite the Princess with her lost love.”
For this tale, we will be traveling to a new region of Adon: The Land of the Kyrinae, and it is here where we will meet Princess Mysumi, and her lost love: Kianu.
Here is a sneak peek of what’s in store:
…
Her eyes went wide as she pointed toward the tree. “Kianu, look!”
Kianu followed her gaze. Mysumi ran closer and watched with elation as the berry blossoms bloomed.
Found only in the land of the Kyrine, the blue-hued berry blossom was a symbol of life, love, and abundance to all who lived in the region.
“This is one of my favorite moments of the year,” Mysumi said.
“My mother once told me if the berry blossoms bloom while a man and woman stand beneath its branches their love will last a lifetime,” Kianu said.
He came from behind and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. “I hope she’s right.”
Mysumi smiled and rested her head against his. “I hope so too.”
…
As fitting for the prompt, this story will be one of love and heartbreak, but better days will come for them. In this life, or the next.
“Berry Blossoms” will be released the last week of February.
